Gold Coast Social Enterprise and New Economy Network (SENEN) meetup group drinks & networking
We would like to invite you to a meeting at the Country Paradise Parklands hosted by Ediblescapes. Come and join the Gold Coast social enterprise community and new economy supporters for a night of casual drinks, good company, great networking and an information session for the social enterprise sector. EdibleScapes organises these informal networking events in association with The Queensland Social Enterprise Council (QSEC), New Economic Network Australia (NENA) and Impact Boom.
This is a free event, but you’ll be welcome to grab yourself a drink from the NCPA’s Rivershed Bar. We’ll have a bit of facilitated networking on the night and you can also meet friendly members from Impact Boom, Queensland Social Enterprise Council, and the New Economy Network Australia.
The Gold Coast Social Enterprise and New Economy Network (SENEN) is being created as a place where social entrepreneurs and new economy supporters can meet, network, do business, and share stories in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
You do not have to be a member of QSEC or NENA to attend our Meetups - all are welcome.
Social Enterprises are businesses that operate for a social purpose. Social Enterprises are:
- Led by an economic, social, cultural, or environmental mission consistent with a public or community benefit
- Trade to fulfil their mission
- Derive a substantial proportion of their income from trade
- Reinvest the majority of their surplus in the fulfilment of their mission

ABOUT OUR CO-HOSTS
The Queensland Social Enterprise Council (QSEC) exists in order to promote social enterprise, provide a forum for discussion between social enterprises, carry out research into social enterprise, publish and speak on social enterprise, and advocate with governments, private sector and charitable sector to facilitate development of social enterprise.
The New Economy Network Australia (NENA) is a network of individuals and organisations working to transform Australia’s economic system so that achieving ecological health and social justice are the foundational principles and primary objectives of the economic system. NENA works to facilitate connections, showcase and promote innovative projects, build peer-to-peer learning and use collective strategies to create and advocate for change, so that we can build a strong movement of people demanding, creating and benefiting from a ‘new’ economy.
