Formerly, she was a senior advisor on Digital Inclusion at Telstra, Executive Director of the Institute for a Broadband Enabled Society at the University of Melbourne, and a senior policy advisor to Communications Minister Stephen Conroy in the Rudd and Gillard Governments. Emma has a research background and policy expertise in the areas of social inclusion and economic inequality, immigration and multiculturalism, ageing and disability, media and communications and gender equality and women’s rights.
