NENA 2025 AGM – Nominate for NENA elected positions

Nominations for the NENA 2025 AGM are now open to members for the following governance groups:

  • Board of Directors: Provides governance oversight, ensures compliance with the Co-operatives National Law, and guides NENA’s organisational direction.
  • Strategic Directions Group (SDG): Leads collaborative strategy development, including the annual NENA Strategy and Civil Society Strategy.
  • Participatory Budget Group (PBG): Oversees participatory budgeting and financial transparency, helping ensure democratic allocation of NENA’s resources.

To nominate, you must be an active NENA member (individual or organisational representative) and over 18 years of age. Please ensure your membership is current before submitting your nomination.

How to Nominate:

  1. Complete the appropriate Nomination Form (linked below) – you’ll be asked to include your contact details, relevant experience, and a short statement (150–200 words) outlining your interest in the position.
  2. Have your nomination endorsed by two current NENA members (signatures or email confirmations).
  3. Submit your completed form to nena@neweconomy.org.au no later than Tuesday December 2nd.

If the number of nominations received exceeds the number of available positions, a ballot will be conducted during the AGM in accordance with the Constitution.

We strongly encourage nominations from across NENA’s diverse membership — individuals, cooperatives, First Nations representatives, social enterprises, academics, and community organisers — to ensure our governance reflects the breadth of the new economy movement.
