Jason van Tol
Jason completed his undergraduate work at Queen’s University, Canada in Engineering Physics. He holds a Masters in Teaching, a Bachelor of Education (Honours), and is a PhD candidate; his thesis looks at education for the economics of ecological sustainability. Jason has a strong interest in an interdisciplinary approach to teaching and learning, in particular the economic dimension of sustainability, and more generally in the relationship between human happiness, economic fairness, and ecological sustainability. Jason spent four years living on an intentional and certified organic farming community where he got a thorough on-the-ground education in sustainability, permaculture, organic farming, ecology, and intentional community living.
