The NENA Financial & Economic Literacy Hub directly supports you through NENA’s core purposes of promoting socially just and ecologically sustainable regional, local, and place-based economies. We offer insights through education, collaborative policy, and advocacy.
This Hub fulfils NENA’s stated purposes by facilitating training, research, resources, and collaborative initiatives for anyone interested in financial literacy, economic literacy, or both.
We invite all interested people in Australian society to join us – from individuals with valuable street smarts and lived experience to well-researched academics and seasoned corporate professionals.
Our Hub activities are designed to
• Increase awareness and understanding of financial and economic literacy for everyone
• Host real-world, cross-sector conversations with industry experts and community voices
• Foster understanding by collecting and collating emerging and traditional economic models and their definitions
• Look behind the news - unpacking and exploring alternatives to mainstream economic narratives
• Deepen comprehension of crucial concepts like true cost, life cycle costs, and costs of living
• Bridge the financial equity gap by connecting individual insights, collaborative voices, and shared learnings
• Contribute to NENA’s broader outreach, impact, biennial Strategy, and long-term co-operative economic transformation work.
Join us as a NENA Member, or free webinar attendee to learn, share, and contribute. Together, we help NENA build robust networks and shared initiatives that advocate for change and move us all towards a thriving new economy.
